Please be advised that the Carroll County Recreation & Parks Hap Baker Firearms Facility is OPEN, per the normal operating hours provided below. Easter Sunday (10am - 1pm). WEATHER RELATED UPDATES - Click here. The Hap Baker Firearms Facility is a public shooting range designed and constructed in accordance with National Rifle Association range specifications. Our mission is to provide firearms enthusiasts with a safe and controlled environment to practice their sport, while also supporting law enforcement agencies with a reliable facility for certification, training, and operational exercises.

January – March:
Monday to Thursday – CLOSED
Friday to Sunday – 10am-4:30pm
April – December:
Monday to Tuesday – CLOSED
Wednesday to Sunday – 10am-4:30pm
Holidays:
Veteran’s Day – Regular Hours
Easter Sunday, 4th of July, Christmas Eve & New Years Eve – 10am-1pm (only if holiday falls on a normal operating day)
New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas Day - CLOSED
Please note: The range is open rain or shine. The facility is always closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday. However, training of law enforcement personnel may occur at the range on days when the range is closed.

- First-come, first-served access (no reservations required)
- 9 pistol lanes (5-25 yards)
- 10 rifle lanes (25-200 yards)
- Single waterless restroom available
- Targets, ear protection, and eye protection are available for purchase at a minimal cost
- Spotting scopes available for rent
